10 West Employee Scheduling Application

An online web-app scheduling application to allow employees at 10 West Restaurant and Bar to see weekly schedules, request days off, and even set specific working day parameters. This project is composed of two separate applications, one being the web-based application for employees to access. The other resides as a desktop application programmed in Java to allow managers to create the weekly schedules and employee information.

Wireless Plant Watering / Monitoring System

Internet of Things Final Project. An Arduino and ESP ran system with various sensors that measure: temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. The system displays sensor readings and the ability to water the plant through HTTP (website interface). Automatic watering also occurs when soil moisture is below a threshold. Watering is done with a relay and peristaltic pump which supplies water from a tank to a potted plant.

End-to-End Encryption Web Application

Security in Computing Final Group Project. End-to-end-encryption messaging and file sharing web-application with group chat support. My contribution to this project was on the cryptography, encryption/decryption, and back-end of the web-application. The cryptography library used was libsodium, while the back-end used Google's Firebase.

Deaconess Wellness Application

Software Engineering Class Final Project. This project was broken up into two separate applications: a desktop application and mobile application. I fully developed the desktop application in Java, which was created for Deaconess Midtown Hospital for wellness coaches to use in order to communicate with their clients. Coaches are able to directly message their clients, see their clients own fitness/nutritional goals, and even create such goals for their clients. I also helped develop the android application in which the clients are then able to communicate with their wellness coaches using their mobile devices (android). As mentioned before, clients can create their own fitness/nutritional goals and goals assigned by wellness coaches.

Sobel Edge Detection

A program that uses sobel filters to determine the edges of the image. Sobel filters are two filters, typically of size 3x3 or 5x5, that highlight the 'differences' in pixel values in the X and Y direction of the image. Combining the X and Y 'differences' we are able to approximate the gradient of the image. The gradient highlights the edges of the image, making it possible to take apply a some threshold value and creating a bitmap of the edges within the image.

Simple Blockchain Simulator

Software Development Class Final Project. Desktop application that simulates a cryptocurrency blockchain. Here the user can create their own cryptocurrency with a variety of parameters. Then with such cryptocurrency the user can simulate different users, including miners. Such users are able to make transactions with such cryptocurrency, in which such transactions are kept track on the cryptocurrency's blockchain.
